Liz Barrett (Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV; Laughs on FOX)

Liz Barrett is a New-York based stand-up comedian and writer. Raised in a military family and having moved all around the world, Liz is deadpan, dry, engaging, and offers shrewd observations about life and womanhood. You’ll remember her one-liners long after you see her.

Liz has appeared on AXS TV Gotham Comedy Live, Laughs on FOX, Lifetime, Funny or Die and New York Post Videos. You can also hear her on Raw Dog Comedy on SiriusXM. She’s a regular at Carolines, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Catch a Rising Star and The Brokerage. She was a finalist at Laughing Skull Comedy Festival and The She-Devil Comedy Festival and a semi-finalist at Boston Comedy Festival.She has appeared at numerous comedy festivals including, Limestone Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Red Clay Comedy Festival, Rogue Island Comedy Festival, and Ladies of Laughter. For 5 years, Liz produced her own monthly show Grin and Barrett which was described as “puntastically named” and “one of the best shows in the city produced by a female comedian.”

Sam Rubinoff (NY Comedy Festival)

Sam Rubinoff is a stand-up comedian and writer that performs nightly around New York City. He’s also performed at the New York Comedy Festival, Red Clay Comedy Festival and the Hoboken Comedy Festival. Sam is constantly writing, producing, directing and acting in sketches, spec ads and shorts. Currently, Sam is working on “Mourning News,” a behind the scenes sitcom about a struggling late night style show. Previously, Sam created and starred in the web series “Dog Days,” a six-episode comedy about the misadventures of a dog walker in New York City.

The show is proudly hosted by Comedy From Scratch founder, Ben Asher. Ben Asher, a writer and comedian from New York, is known for his “brave,” confrontational material, and his skills as a “brilliant joke writer” among fellow comedians. He performs regularly at comedy venues and colleges throughout the metropolitan area, East Coast, and Europe. Audiences are always quick to share their appreciation of Ben’s style of sardonic irreverence and absurd, satiric wit in which he doesn’t just dissect language and taboos - he explodes them. “What Ben Asher says makes me laugh, even though I feel like I shouldn’t."

In 2022 Ben recorded a half-hour special "An Intimate Evening of Provocative and Deranged Humor" at The Nest rock club, in Brooklyn, NY. In 2024, Ben recently opened for Greg Fitzsimmons. Also, in 2022, Ben's show Arthur Avenue Comedy was featured in the NY Comedy Festival as one of only two comedy shows in Bronx. In 2014, Ben traveled to Iceland to headline in the Iceland Comedy Festival. He was also the finalist in the 2014 Funniest Jewish Comedian Competition. In 2013 Ben was in the New York Comedy Festival. Ben has been a guest on Sherrod Small's 'Races Wars' podcast.
